At Challenger, safety is of paramount importance, and we proudly celebrate individuals who consistently maintain safe practices in their careers. In 2014, Challenger introduced a new initiative called the Million Mile Club to recognize and reward drivers that safely go the distance each and every day.  In order to be eligible for the club, a Challenger driver must safely drive one million (and the following tier of two million) miles.   Any preventable collisions (either on the road or in a yard) would reset the miles to zero.  Therefore this truly is an exclusive club celebrating the safest drivers in the industry. In addition to the prestige that drivers receive with this momentous accomplishment, inductees of the Million Mile Club are awarded an exclusive die cast Truck and Trailer Model and Million Mile sports jacket. Two-million mile drivers are awarded with an additional die cast model and sharp leather jacket embossed with the Million Mile Club logo on the back.

Recently Challenger was thrilled to celebrate Bruce McGuire’s fantastic achievement of Two-Million Miles. Bruce has been employed with the company since 1998, and during this time has never had a preventable collision. In 2014, Challenger first rolled out the Million Mile Club honouring 76 Million Mile drivers, including 9 retired drivers that had met the eligibility requirements, and 13 Two-Million Mile drivers. Since that time, there have been 26 additional drivers that have been inducted into the club. However, Bruce is the first driver to achieve the Two-Million Mile threshold since the club’s beginning.

Bruce joins the following Challenger drivers with the achievement of safely driving Two-Million Miles: Bryant Leroux, Paul Bauman, Charles Freure, Don Gole, Michael Donald Thompson, Robert Hagen, Rob Dobb, Urmas Kurg, Paul Richmond, Brian Saunders, Gerald Moffatt, Robert Kufske and Milan Kana.

At Challenger, we strive to safely go the distance. Congratulations to all our Million Mile Club members whose fantastic achievements show strict attention to safe driving.
