What is the culture like at your Company? At Challenger we believe in our People and know they are the most important part of any company. The culture of a company is based on the people and how they interact with each other. Back in August of 2014, Challenger embarked on a journey to move our culture from Good to Great. Like any journey, this has many phases and steps that need to be taken. We started by meeting with people at all levels of the company, on all shifts and in all locations and asked what it is they love about the company and what are the areas that need to improve. We sampled approximately 24% of the population and took all of that information back and combed through it for common themes. Since that time we have made many changes based on this information and will continue to do so. We have relayed what we learned via written communication and we are now also in the process of doing presentations in all locations on all shifts to share what we heard.Challenger Transportation

The motto of the presentation is (we asked, you spoke, we listened and we are taking action). This process is working, people are talking about it and the changes are being noticed. As with anything the important part now is to keep the momentum and keep things moving. This is an interesting process and I am pleased to be part of the team working on this culture transformation project. If you have any thoughts or experience on how this is working or what you have seen work in the past please reach out to me. I look forward to hearing from you on our company culture.
