This December, Challenger was proud to sponsor Breakfast with Santa, an amazing event at Kinbridge Community Association providing a delicious breakfast for many in the community, with Santa in attendance. 130 individuals enjoyed breakfast that morning, photos with Santa, and every child received a gift. The menu consisted of pancakes, turkey bacon, coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

Amy Slack, Community Services Manager of Kinbridge Community Assoication, shares: “As Christmas can be an incredibly stressful time for some individuals in our shared community, we try to provide an opportunity to create a space and event that is cost effective, people can attend with pride and leave with a full belly and a gift for every child. For some children this is the only time in the year they will get to see Santa Claus.

“Our Breakfast With Santa is one of two signature events we hold annually. This gives our community an opportunity to come together to celebrate and enjoy a morning with Santa where each child receives a gift, a family photo with Santa, and a time to relax and enjoy Christmas.”

According to their website, “Kinbridge Community Association is a community based organization that works to build capacity in the people we serve. As a grass roots organization we strive to develop and run programs that serve the needs of our community as identified by our community. Through participation in our programs people are able to get their needs met, develop skills and make community connections. This increases opportunities and capacity for positive growth in all areas, including education and employment.”

Amy Slack shares that “Breakfast with Santa was a huge success this year thanks to the generosity and support of Challenger Motor Freight.”
