Last month, Challenger participated in its fourth year of Movember fundraising. Movember is a month-long initiative raising money for men’s cancer research and mental health organizations. Many men support the cause by being sponsored to grow magnificent moustaches, but everyone can participate through monetary donations.  You can learn more about Movember Here.

In the past, Challenger has participated through selling Movember t-shirts, hosting fund raising barbeques, raffles and even a 50/50 draw. This year, our efforts included a marvelous bake sale and cake raffle organized by Eveline Gaede from our IT department, and the sale of our mustache mugs which helped us reach a total of over $2,400.

Nathaniel Smith, Operations Supervisor, organizes our Movember initiatives every year and has, once again, done an amazing job.

When asked about what motivates his involvement, he had this to say:

“Movember is a men’s charity which raises funds for Men’s cancer research and support for men’s mental health. I encourage Challenger to support this foundation to increase awareness to these issues. I know from personal experience that it is hard to find an outlet as a man without being looked down on.”

Nate is very driven towards giving back to our community. He, with a great number of the Challenger Team, continually go the distance for various charitable events throughout the year.  Thank you Challenger staff for your participation in Movember!
