We are currently looking for Licensed Mechanics to join our Cambridge Maintenance Department.

LICENSED MECHANIC - CAMBRIDGE

Purpose:

  • You will use current technology to ensure the highest performance and safety of all vehicles.  Working in a clean and organized environment you will participate in a training program designed to upgrade your skills and keep you informed of new technology.

Duties Include:

  • Preventative and scheduled repairs:
    • Review and follow work order instructions from start to finish
    • Fill out on work order all parts used and input comments (complaint, cause and correction) regarding the repair
    • Inspect total vehicle, road test and test systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices and isolate faults
    • Notify shift Team Leader of any other needed repairs
  • Using the Enrich System, identify any warranty repairs and complete necessary paperwork for warranty processing
  • Perform Ministry of Transportation vehicle inspections as per Ministry guidelines
  • Shunting and moving equipment in and out of maintenance facility and other destinations for repairs
  • Shop cleanup:
    • Put away any equipment used, including personal tools
    • Shop cleanliness, emptying garbage cans at end of shift, washing floors and sweeping
  • Attend shift meetings as required
  • Participate in formal and informal training sessions

Qualifications

  • A licensed Mechanic (310T)
  • Possess a valid G Driver’s License
  • Able to use current technology to ensure vehicle safety and performance
  • Willing to be trained

Hours:

  • Weekday Nights: Monday to Thursday, 9:00pm to 7:00am
