Driver Trainer

Duties Include:

  • Conduct classroom Orientation Process with all new drivers
  • Monitor industry and trade training programs and materials to ensure Challenger incorporates the most current and effective programs and materials
  • Conduct remedial or renewal training for existing drivers and other staff
  • Assist with the Driver Trainee Program to establish standards of qualification for driver trainees
  • Assist the training department with any power point presentations, pamphlets, training materials
  • Conduct on road evaluations with driving staff as required

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Qualifications

  • Preference will be given to candidates who have classroom training experience or have participated in public speaking engagements
  • Effective communications skills (listening, oral and written)
  • Effective organization, planning and problem solving skills
  • In-depth and current knowledge of safety, hours of service regulations, Hazmat regulations, Canada Labour Code, U.S. Federal Motor Carrier regulations, Ministry of Transportation Ontario regulations
